Youth Education
The pre-teen and teen years can be challenging and confusing as youth are faced with social and peer pressures, media stereotypes, individual expression, and the desire to belong. Christian Education can help to prepare youth by providing lessons centered on scripture and Christian "basics”.
The Youth Christian Education classes are held every Sunday (September – May) from 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. in the Education Building.
Youth grades 6-9 prepare to become members of the congregation through Confirmation. Confirmation classes are a 2 year program. The next class will begin in Fall 2012.
Youth grades 9-12 who are not in the Confirmation class have their own space called the Teen Center.
There are also other opportunities for continued spiritual growth and social activities. The Kids Klub organizes monthly activities for the children of the parish.The Diocese of Springfield hosts several youth events throughout the year.
