Worship at the Cathedral depends upon the efforts of numerous parishioners to make the service run smoothly. We invite you to consider becoming involved in any of the following activities: |
Acolytes
Adults and young people (from eight years of age through high school) contribute to our worship by their service as acolytes. Acolytes must be participating, baptized members of the Cathedral. Training is required. |
Ushers and Greeters
Members of the Cathedral serve by greeting parishioners and visitors, presenting the elements and collecting the offering. Training is offered. |
Lectors
These persons read the lessons from scripture at the Sunday services. Contact Dean Brodie for information. |
Lay Worship Leaders
Vergers, thurifers, sub-deacons, lay Eucharistic ministers, and lay readers assist with the worship services. The Diocese licenses parishioners who are nominated by the Dean for three-year terms. Training is conducted twice a year. |
