Word from the Dean

Hello and welcome to our Family of Faith, The Cathedral Church of Saint Paul the Apostle. We are the Cathedral for the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield, Illinois.

Our Website is being updated during our 175th Anniversary as a parish. There is a great deal of history connected to this parish including the marriage of Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd. You can read some of that history here on our site.

However, let us talk about today and tomorrow, the present and the future. We are a congregation of many different kinds of people and we invite you to join with us as we try our best to be followers of Jesus Christ. Where someone is from is important but where we go from today and tomorrow is most important.

Everyone is welcome to this Cathedral no matter whom you are or where you are from. We are all children of God and we work together and pray together as we strive to reach out to those who need our help.

We are much more fun in person so please come and join us in our mutual journey to spread the Word of the Kingdom of God.
