Spirit Knitters
The purpose of this ministry is to provide tangible evidence of concern and prayer to those who are grieving, sick, or shut in, with a small token of comfort. Prayer shawls, lap blankets and baby blankets are made by members from donated supplies. These are placed in gift bags along with a laminated prayer and card form the Church. They are available in the Lady Chapel and are free to anyone in need. All that is required is for you to write the name of the recipient on the chart so we know for whom to pray. To date, we have given away over 180 shawls and lap blankets. To help with the cost of materials, monetary donations are always appreciated.
Meetings are held every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. from September to May in the Café. It is open to all those who know how to (or wish to learn) how to knit or crochet.
