Do you knit or crochet? Or have you wanted to learn? We have the perfect place for you! The ministry of the Spirit Knitters provides tangible evidence of concern and prayer to those who are grieving, sick, or shut in, with a small token of comfort. Prayer shawls, lap blankets and baby blankets are made by members from donated supplies.
We meet every Wednesday in the Café from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and anyone is welcome to join us. Experienced? Great! Bring your needles or hook. Never done any yarn work? No problem! We have a wonderful and patient teacher – Shirley Popalawski – who will show you everything you need to know.
This is a wonderful ministry and is a great way to give to those in need. To date, we have given out over 120 prayer shawls and lap blankets.
